Gossip Girl Inspired

I am a day late on this band wagon but, National Gossip Girl Day was Monday and I think this holiday was made for me. As many of you may know, Gossip Girl is my life and love. Blair Waldorf is my spirit animal in many many ways. However, mainly I admire her for her fabulous style. This look is inspired by her classic school girl look with a casual twist.

This post is a part of the Gossip Girl Link Up! Be sure to check out other blogger's Gossip Girl inspired posts. Follow the hashtag #GossipGirlLinkUp to find other blogger's posts.

I recently purchased this blazer from Target for a great price! It was on sale for around $25 which is such a steal. I love how it has such a classic look and incorporates many colors into the print. To off-set the busy print I wore a simple white tank with a high neckline. With the neck embellished I opted for no necklace and chose a pair of statement earrings instead. These earrings pull out many colors that are in the blazer which worked out perfectly.

My brown boots are a current obsession of mine. I purchased them from Madewell on sale while I was home for winter break. After finding out the Jack Roger booties I have been lusting over for months didn't fit I had to find an alternative ASAP. So, these are a great neutral boot that I wear all the time. Not to mention the color is gorgeous and goes with black, navy, and brown.

Currently can't take off my Daniel Wellington watch. It is such a classic and traditional piece that goes with everything I wear.

The details on my blouse are gorgeous! Having the rhinestones on the collar is like having a built in necklace. Also, I thought the high neckline matched a typical Blair school look. I also through on bold statement earrings to tie in the colors of the blazer.

Who is your favorite Gossip Girl character? Let me know in the comments! Obviously mine is Blair but of course I love Chuck Bass.

Travel Diaries: Day 6

Day 6: Last day at Magic Kingdom
For the last day of our vacation we went to Magic Kingdom. To close out the trip we rode our favorite rides, watched fireworks, and bundled up with the cold Florida weather. However, I can't complain because in Florida it was around 50 while back home it was less then 0.

We ate breakfast at Gaston's Tavern which is decorated like my favorite movie Beauty and the Beast! It's always fun eating there because it looks just like Gaston's tavern in the movie.

Here are a few shots from the Dumbo ride as well as the circus area in the park.

Treats on treats on treats! Disney has the most adorable candy apples, cookies, and other desserts.

L and Middle: These magnets are to funny! They are all the signature food items from Disney. I have to say they look incredibly real.
R: I had a pretty high score on the Buzz Lightyear ride. Not going to lie I was pretty excited!

Well that wraps it up for my Disney adventures! I hope you enjoyed going on my trip with me. Be sure to check out my other posts.

Travel Diaries: Disney Day 4 & 5

Day 4: Another day at Epcot
For the fourth day of our trip we went back to Epcot. Normally when my family and I go to Disney we go to Epcot and Magic Kingdom twice. So, for our second day we browsed the countries, ate lots of food, and went on our favorite rides again.

My family and I are addicted to the Italian restaurant in Epcot. We ate there for our first day at Epcot as well. I am boring and I got the same thing as last time, pizza. It's just to good not to eat twice! But, I did change things up and I got a different dessert. I got an Italian soda float which had a fruity soda and vanilla gelato.

At night my Mom and I stayed for the illuminations show. It features lights, fireworks, and a globe! Staying for this show is always cool. Who doesn't love fireworks?

Day 5: Hollywood Studios
Next stop on the Disney vacation was Hollywood Studios! Hollywood Studios is super fun and has a lot of shows and some great rides. Here are my favorite things at the park.....
Food: Pizza Planet based off of Toy Story
Rides: Rocking Roller Coaster, Star Tours, and the Great Movie Ride
Shows: Beauty and the Beast show and Frozen Sing Along

I am a HUGE Frozen fan. Yet again who isn't? We went to the Disney Frozen sing along where we got to sing to all of the songs from the movie. It was super fun and the actors and actresses in the show made it super funny. Above is a shot of my leather Frozen bracelet that I got customized. I always pick up a few of these bracelets when I'm at Disney. The idea of customizing them is super fun and makes for a great souvenir!

Pizza planet is for sure my favorite place to eat at Hollywood Studios! I mean you basically get to eat in the place where Woody and Buzz where in Toy Story. The place is decorated just like the movie!

Disney frozen bananas are the best frozen bananas. This is a great frozen treat if you want something less fattening.

The last thing we did for the night was go to Fantasmic. I have not been to this show in so long! So, I was excited to see it again. I have to say it was better then I remembered.

Announcement of the Century: Lilly for Target

The Twitter and Instagram world is exploding with the recent Target collab. Target just announced that their new spring collection with be a collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer. Naturally, as a hardcore preppy girl and sorority women I couldn't be more excited! Lilly Pulitzer is one of my favorite brands. However, it can be very pricey to a girl on a college budget. So, This is a dream come true!

I found this great link that shows A LOT of pictures of the line. Click here to see it! That is where I found these awesome behind the scenes pictures as well. Apparently there will be over 150 items for the collection. These items will range from scarves, swimsuits, clothing, accessories, and home items. Most items are also under $30 which is great for someone like me. That also means you can shop more! An added bonus is that all of these items will come in exclusive prints for the collection.

So, now I can dress, accessorize, and decorate my home in head to toe Lilly Pulitzer. But, I am getting a little to excited. The collection doesn't come to stores until April 9th. Be sure to add that into your calendar! I can assure you that I will be waiting at my Target's doors for this fabulous new collection.

To keep updated follow Lilly For Target on Instagram! I believe they will be posting new pictures and sneak peeks frequently.

Are you excited for the collection? Let me know in the comments!

Travel Diary: Day 2 & 3

Day 2: Epcot a day of eating around the world

For our second day at Disney we went around the world at Epcot. Epcot is my favorite Disney park because you can shop and eat around to different countries in one place. Here are my top favorite things at Epcot:
Food: Rose and Crown pub in UK and Via Napoli in Italy
Rides: Test Track, Soarin, and Three Caballeros ride in Mexico
Snacks: Dessert in France, Pretzel in Germany, and Churro in Mexico

Found this One Direction bracelet in the UK toy store. They have a whole section with British band t-shirts and merchandise. The shops in London are a personal favorite of mine.

A shot of one of the shops in London (above) as well as me in a phone booth!

The Three Caballeros ride

What I wore: For my outfit I decided to dress more fashionable then comfortable. I combined these bright plaid shorts with a simple denim button down shirt. I didn't add a lot of accessories because I would be riding rides all day.

Where it's from:
Shirt: J Crew
Shorts: J Crew
Croakies: Fraternity Collection
Belt: Aerie
Shoes: Sperry Topsider
Bracelets: Disney & Alex and Ani

Here are two shots one from Italy (left) and the other from France (right). Below is the view from a bridge in Italy. This is a great spot to take pictures and to see the Epcot globe.

Day 3: Animal filled adventure

For our third day at the parks we headed to Animal Kingdom. At Animal Kingdom we love to go on the safari, Mt. Everest, and the Dinosaur ride. Also, we always grab a cinnamon roll at a certain stand in Africa. What I love about Animal Kingdom is the awesome tree they have in the park. I got some great photos from the day featuring this awesome tree!

Below is the Animal Kingdom Christmas tree as well as a Mickey Mouse cinnamon roll.

Below are a few shots of animals we saw on our Safari ride! We got super close to a few animals which has never happened before. I was only a few feet away from this little giraffe. It was quite a sight!

There is still more Disney posts to come! Be on the lookout this week for more on my fabulous trip to Disney World.
