OOTD: Hello Kitty

What do you get when it is Mean Girls Day and the Hello Kitty truck comes to town? Lots of pink! The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is one of my favorite things ever. Hence why I waited 3 hours in line to get my treats and merchandise. I know I know, I am dedicated. Naturally for the occasion I wore head to toe pink!

I wore a stack of my own hand made Hello Kitty themed bracelets. If you didn't already know I sell bracelets and mask chains on my shop Instagram Shop Sew Cute Style. These Hello Kitty charms paired with gold filled beads are one of my favorites! Plus perfect for a Hello Kitty Cafe Truck outing.

My major Hello Kitty accessory for the day was this Hello Kitty x Stoney Clover Lane flat pouch that I used as a clutch. I mean how adorable right? It is the perfect subtle Hello Kitty touch. I love the bow detail as well. You can fit a lot in these flat pouches which makes them great to use as a clutch or in a big tote.

The rest of my outfit is sadly old from the Atlantic Pacific x Nordstrom Collection. This blouse is probably my most worn clothing item. I swear I will have it forever it is my favorite! It features velvet pink bows, pearls, pleats, what more could you ask for? Paired with my pink blazer from the same collection and you have the perfect look.

My mask and headband are of course Lele Sadoughi. This mask is part of a new set that features pearl details on the straps. It is the prettiest mask I own. The pink is my favorite color but the pack also includes grey and black. Lele Sadoughi face masks are by far my favorite. They fit my face perfectly and are super style. Plus they match some of my Lele Sadoughi headbands. Today's headband is my go-to the white woven pearl. It legit matches everything and was my first Lele Sadoughi headband.

I picked up lots of goodies at the Hell Kitty Cafe Truck. Head to my Instagram Reel to see a haul of what I purchased!

OOTD: Comfy & Cozy

Comfy and cozy! I am loving comfortable loungewear and sweatshirts. That work from home life has gotten me very used to being comfortable all the time. It's probably gonna come back to bite me later wen I have to wear real clothes. But, for now it is so nice to be comfortable everyday!

My go-to places for loungewear right now are Aerie and Abercrombie & Fitch. This ribbed tee is so comfortable and a newer purchase for me. While my joggers are old there are a ton of similar options available right now! I completed the look with my Kitsch silk eye mask, scrunchie, and pillow case. The perfect set to add to your sleep routine. Then of course no cozy look is complete with a pair of Ugg slippers and a Barefoot Dreams blanket. I picked up both of these at the Nordstrom Sale the past 2 years. The blanket I purchased this year and the slippers the year before. It really is the best time to pick up essentials from both brands!

Pants: Aerie (old)
Slippers: UGG
Pillow, eye mask, scrunchie: Kitsch (gifted)
Bench: Walmart
Pillows: Target (old)

OOTD: I'm a Barbie Girl

I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie world.... Did you start singing the song too? Today I'm sharing this fun 90's inspired outfit in honor of the Barbie Truck Tour that came to my area a few weekends ago.

The Barbie Truck Tour features this adorable Barbie pink van that tours around the country. They stopped in Chicago a few weekends ago and it was adorable. Naturally I had to go to snap some pictures! The bus usually stops at malls and shopping centers for the day. You can take pictures with the truck + purchase exclusive merchandise. I picked up some super cute patches featuring retro Barbie. But, there was a lot to choose from. From denim a jacket, patches, water bottle, and more so many cute items to pick up.

As for my outfit I went for a 90's retro vibe to mimic the vibe of the Barbie truck. I recently got this sherpa denim jacket from Tuckernuck and it is the perfect fall piece. Pairing it with a basic long sleeve tee keeps the look simple and comfy. This corduroy skirt is one of my favorite fall pieces. It is old but I will link similar options. I feel like corduroy is so in this fall, which I love. Who doesn't love a cord pant or skirt?

Of course I had to include a pop of pink into my outfit. I wore this adorable Lele Sadoughi heart headband for the occasion. It is a bright pink woven headband with mother of pearl heart embellishment. It is to die for. Then I tied it all together with my pink Gucci crossbody bag. It's slowly become my go-to designer purse!

What I wore:
Jacket: Levi's via Tuckernuck
Skirt: Forever 21
Boots: Cole Haan (similar) (similar)
Bag: Gucci
Headband: Lele Sadoughi
Location: Oakbrook Center

Halloween Porch Decor

Having an apartment again has been great! It's been especially fun to decorate for Halloween this year. For Christmas we are going big people so stay tuned. But, for Halloween I gave my little patio a makeover for the holiday. I've been collection random things to pull together the space.

I think the ghost lights really tie the whole thing together! These are from Target and I just used one pack to string across the side wall of our patio. It is the perfect spooky addition to our little seating area. The ghosts light up then they have purple and orange lights above. Above the lights is a cute Hocus Pocus sign from Joann's! Joann's has some great holiday d├ęcor so don't sleep on that. Plus most of it was 40-60% off. My faux pumpkins are from Target and come in lots of different sizes. Michaels and Joann's also had these faux pumpkins that are carve-able, but Target's were the most affordable! They started at $4 so a great alternative so you don't have to buy real pumpkins each year. Also you can carve these if you want but I plan to keep them plain. I finished everything off with these little mums from Trader Joe's. I got them at my local store and they were out front outside near some other plants. But, of course you can pick up mums from a wide variety of places from the grocery store to Home Depot.

Porch details:
Lights: Target
Pumpkins: Target
Mums: Trader Joe's
Headband: Lele Sadoughi
Pillows: My Oh My Supply Co, Kirklands, Target

OOTD: Apple Picking

Apple of my eye... I'm back with another fall outfit post! This time I'm sharing details from my outfit for a day of apple picking. Apple picking is one of my favorite fall traditions. I am so happy I was able to do it this year. This is a weird fall for sure but I'm making the most of it still!

My pumpkin backpack always makes an appearance at the apple orchard. The apple orchard I go to is actually a pumpkin patch. But we went earlier this year so the pumpkins weren't ready. We may go back... we'll see! For now we stuck with apples. My pumpkin Mickey backpack is last years version, but there is a new version for this year. To be honest I prefer mine, so I'm happy I picked it up last year! I believe the new pumpkin backpack is sold out but hopefully they will bring it back in case you want to snag it for this Halloween.

My Bean Boots are an apple orchard and pumpkin patch essential. I wear them every year for the occasion. They are also great for tailgating or any outdoor activities. They are cute but will help if the grass is muddy or you are walking through a bunch of grass. I've had this pair since college and they hold up very well.

I'm back with this Barbour jacket! I'm telling you this is a great jacket for fall. You can also opt for the regular weight wax Beadnell jacket if you want to transition it into late fall and early winter.

Naturally top off the look with my go-to pearl headband from Lele Sadoughi. This was my first headband from her and it is still my favorite. It is the perfect neutral and starter headband. You will wear it with everything no matter the season!

Where it's from:
Coat: Barbour
Headband: Lele Sadoughi
Jeans: Paige
Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Boots: L.L. Bean
Location: Honey Hill Orchard Waterman, IL

OOTD: Burnt Orange Jumper

I've been waiting to style this orange jumper for a year. No joke. I just couldn't figure out how I was going to style it. But, I love it with just a basic long sleeve tee to be honest. Sometimes you just have to keep it simple!

First things first, I have to say this is the best basic long sleeve tee I've found. I used to be obsessed with this one that Nordstrom had in their BP section. But, they got gross and sadly had to get rid of them. This was in high school by the way so it's been a minute. I am loving this new long sleeve tee I found though! I got it in white and a blush pink and I think they will be perfect for layering this fall. Pair it underneath a cardigan, jean jacket, blazer, you name it. The possibilities are endless.

My accessories I feel like tie the whole look together. These Lele Sadoughi earrings were a go-to of mine last fall. They match so many fall looks and colors. Bonus they are actually on sale at the moment! Big earrings may be intimidating to some, but this pair is super light weight and great for everyday wear. I promise you can pull them off. But, you can always start with a smaller pair of lily earrings from Lele Sadoughi to ease your way into a bigger pair.

Of course we have to discuss the headband. This headband is a great fall basic for anyone's wardrobe. It is a gorgeous gold bronze color with some shine. Gold for me matches everything! But, it is also available in silver in case you are more of a silver girl. I think it really ties everything together though.

Ballet flats are a great way to transition out of sandals. This day was a little warmer so I didn't want to put boots on. But sandals don't really scream fall to me! That is where the flats come in. Flats are a great way to ease into your fall boots. Plus you can wear them in so many different ways. This pair of gold Tory Burch flats have served me well. I picked them up from the Anniversary Sale a few years ago and they are in great shape still.

Where it's from:
Jumper: Forever 21
Long sleeve tee: Nordstrom
Purse: Gucci
Headband: Lele Sadoughi
Earrings: Lele Sadoughi
Shoes: Tory Burch
Bracelets: Hermes
