Sew Cute Holiday: Pop Culture Gifts

Recently I have been loving repping my favorite TV shows and movies. There are so many awesome pop culture pieces out there that would make great gifts for the holidays! I've rounded up some of my favorite shows and other popular pop culture fandoms to bring you some great gift ideas. From my personal favorites Friends and The Office to Stranger Things there are so many fandoms out there that retailers are catering too. Honestly, the best place to start when looking for pop culture related gifts are Target and Boxlunch. Boxlunch has the BEST obscure pop culture items. So many small or minor things from shows or movies are represented, which I love!

I am a huge fans Friend. I've found so many cute Friends pieces recently that I just had to share these. From Alex and Ani bangles to a collection with Pottery Barn, Friends 25th anniversary has brought us so many awesome goodies!

Also a personal favorite of mine there is some hilarious The Office merch out there. If you are a Dwight fan you will love some of this stuff!

An obvious choice for me the Disney Christmas selection is amazing this year! Be sure to check out ShopDisney for lots of cool pieces to choose from.

These picks are dedicated to the Stranger Things fans. I loved the first season but kind of dropped out after the second.... Haven't even watched season 3! Oops... But some of these pieces are super cool if you are a big fan of the show!

My latest show I am watching is Downton Abbey. When I saw this collection at World Market I was obsessed. For sure some really cute gift ideas here!

If you're a Harry Potter fan honestly life is pretty easy for you. There is SO MUCH Harry Potter merch it's crazy. This is just a small sampling of what I found just searching around!

These pieces are the perfect holiday looks for any occasion! Whether you are going to a Christmas party for work, drinks with friends, or attending a family gathering this collection has it all. Plus a ton of sparkles, which of course I am in favor of. I picked up quite a few pieces to try so we will see what fits later on. For now, shop away!

Dose of Disney: Olaf Disneybound

My name is Olaf and I like warm hugs! It's Frozen week at Sew Cute Style in honor of Frozen II. This is my first fashion post of the week, featuring a fun Olaf Disneybound.

Well you could say I am a subtle Olaf with this Disneybound. I wore this top and then I realized it reminded me of Olaf's snowman buttons! Cute right? This is the perfect example of pulling inspiration from Disney characters without it being too costumey.

Can we also talk about how amazing this blouse is? Another great piece from the Atlantic Pacific x Halogen collection from Nordstrom. This piece is very similar to my all time favorite pink bow blouse from last years collection. You can't argue with oversize bows, pearls, and a button down shirt! I paired this gorgeous blouse with my go-to Lele Sadoughi headband. Pearls on pearls on bows is my kind of style.

Where it's from:
Jeans: J. Crew
Boots: Cole Haan
Headband: Lele Sadoughi (similar)

Who is your favorite Frozen character? Mine is for sure Olaf! Let me know your favorite in the comments.

Dose of Disney: Frozen 2 Shopping Guide

Frozen 2 is upon us friends! This is the beginning of my Frozen 2 week on all of my channels! To celebrate the release of the movie I am sharing all things Frozen. From merchandise to Disneybounds I'm covering it all.

All of this new Frozen merchandise is making me so happy and I have to say my Olaf loving heart is SCREAMING because of all the Olaf things. From Arendelle Aqua now to a whole collection at Target plus lots of other merch Frozen 2 is starting with a bang. Today, I've rounded up some of my top picks of new Frozen merchandise. From some of my favorite brands like Barefoot Dreams, Sorel, and more everyone are joining in on the Frozen fun. Top places to shop for Frozen merchandise are Saks, Target, and Shop Disney. Saks in New York even has a Frozen experience, I'm still investigating that don't you worry. I will be in NY for work in December so hopefully I'll be able to go!

For now enjoy these fun Frozen 2 picks! Are you excited for Frozen 2? Let me know in the comments!

Sew Cute Holiday: Beauty Gifts

After shopping around in stores a little bit I have noticed beauty brands have really stepped up their holiday gift sets! Between Sephora, Ulta, even Macy's I've seen some really awesome gifts that are a great value! Not to mention a lot of stores are running free gift with purchase promotions so there are a ton of freebies up for grabs. I think the Black Friday sets will be even better this year too! For the Sephora items be sure to use the code HOLIDAYSAVE if you are a Sephora Beauty Insider member for up to 20% off your purchase!

Today I wanted to share a few of the beauty sets I am eyeing. Like I said there are soooo many good ones this year. It was hard to narrow down! From skincare, makeup, haircare, to nail polish there are a ton of goodies to choose from. These would make great stocking stuffers, secret Santa gifts, or white elephant exchange gifts.

What gift set are you eyeing? The Laneige lip set is calling my name. Plus I am loving the Hello Kitty OPI nail polish advent calendar! Let me know your favorite in the comments.

It's officially the holiday season! I'd like to welcome you to my first installment of Sew Cute Holiday posts. Throughout November and December I will be creating gift guides, holiday looks, and more to celebrate the holiday season. Christmas time is one of my favorite times of year. I always love creating gift guides and finding the coolest gifts for anyone on your shopping list!

Every year I like compiling a list of things on my Christmas list! A. because I think it's fun to put everything in one place and B. it helps give you gift ideas for someone who may have similar interests or style to me! This year this list has a wide variety of products. From beauty, Disney finds, clothing, and accessories this list covers it all. On the top of my list is the Frozen II Barefoot Dreams blanket, a Lele Sadoughi headband (because a girl can't have too many), and a dress from Loveshackfancy. I do think any of these pieces would make a great gift though!

What is on the top of your Christmas list? Let me know in the comments!

Winter Skincare: Sephora Sale!

The Sephora Holiday Bonus sale is upon us! This sale give Sephora Beauty Insider members up to 20% off your entire purchase. Woah, Sephora barely has sales so you have to be sure to take advantage of these deals! If you haven't already be sure to sign up for Sephora Beauty Insider to qualify for the discount. Then you can shop on your tier level's time frame. If you are a Rouge member you can start shopping now with the code HOLIDAYSAVE. Not Rouge status? No worries! You can shop the sale starting November 7th and ending November 11th.

Today I've rounded up my favorite skincare products that I am currently using. Every product on this guide I have used, tested, and in some cases even repurchased. I really stand behind all of these products! When recommending skincare I try not to show off anything I haven't used because I want to make sure it's good. My skin is dry but sometimes oily. The oily part is a recent development. So, if you have combo skin or dry skin these recommendations will be great for you!

TATCHA FACE PRIMER | This silk skin primer really helps prevent makeup from getting deep into your pours. Apply it with your fingers to create a nice base layer for your makeup!

TATCHA DUO | I've really started loving Tatcha skincare recently. The price tag is sometimes steep but that's why I love the travel size versions! They last so long and that way you can try it out before you commit to a full size product. This set includes a moisturizer and a cleanser. Or you can opt for a larger set to try more products!

ROSE FACE MIST | I got this product as part of my Sephora Play subscription and I really like it! It's a nice little mist to use to refresh your skin. Plus it smells like dreamy roses.

CLINIQUE FACE WASH | The last Sephora sale I picked up this face wash and I love it! It's a great everyday face wash as it doesn't aggravate my skin or have a scent. Super easy and simple. Plus, I feel like you can always trust Clinique!

PETER THOMAS ROTH CREAMS | Okay, these two moisturizers are my holy grail. Don't be scared of the price because these babies work. I've repurchased the Cloud Cream about 2 times and the Green Releaf once. If you have dry skin in the winter these are must have products. I alternate which one I use each night. But, if you had to pick one I would for sure recommend the Cloud Cream. My skin gets flaky and gross in the winter and this is the only moisturizer I have found that really helps! This is the best time to pick it up as it never goes on sale!

CAUDAILE SKINCARE | I've tried all three of these Caudaile products and I love them! This detox mask is great for travel, the foam cleanser is also something I throw in my travel bag, then the moisturizer is a great clean option! If you had to try one I'd for sure recommend the mask. I had a mini version and I used every last drop. It's great for getting your skin back to a good place if you've had a breakout or you've been traveling a ton!

DRUNK ELEPHANT | Another more pricey brand that I think is worth the hype. This jelly cleanser is one of my favorites I've tried. But, if you want to try minis of the products I love this set! Their products are also green so if you are looking for good vegan skincare Drunk Elephant may be for you. I keep this face wash in my shower and use pretty much every day at night!

MASKS | Summer Friday's Jet Lag mask and Glow Recipe's watermelon mask are also items I'd recommend picking up. This Jet Lag mask legit saves lives after I've traveled or while I'm traveling. I have the smaller size that I keep in my cosmetic travel bag. It gives you a TON of moisture which is great after hopping off a plane. For longer flights you could even apply it on the plane. If you are looking for another great travel size mask I love this one from Glow Recipe. It smells delicious and also gives you soft skin.

CLARISONIC | If you are in the market to try a skincare tool during the Sephora sale is a great time to try one. I've had the Clarisonic Mia Prima and I really like it! It gives you a super deep clean that hands just can't give you. Again, pick this buddy up while it is on sale!

What are your skincare must-haves that you'll be picking up from the sale? Let me know in the comments!
