OOTD: Wedding Ready

At the beginning of May I went to a wedding, it had been some time since I've been to a wedding. I couldn't tell you the last time I was at one! So, I was kind of struggling on what to wear to a wedding in May. You don't want to be to casual, but you can certainly be overdressed. My solution: this adorable dress from vineyard vines.

A while back my mom picked up this adorable vineyard vines dress for me from the vineyard vines Whalehouse Sale. They have this sale every so often in the Chicagoland area. We always pick up great finds! Like this Kentucky Derby Collection seersucker strapless dress. This dress combines feminine touches with a preppy twist. I love the ruffle bottom and the overall silhouette. Originally I was going to wear this as a graduation dress, but I opted to wear this to the wedding because I thought it would make for a perfect wedding look.

For accessories I kept things classic and simple. My go-to nude heels paired with pearl accessories make for a classic and clean look. A little whimsical touch is this Disney Danielle Nicole rose handbag. I've been loving this little bag to add a fun touch to any look. The nude pink colors makes it super easy to pair with any outfit.

When dressing for a wedding comfortable shoes are a must. These heels from Calvin Klein are so comfortable. They are not to tall, but tall enough. Pick a shoe with a chunky heel instead of a thin stiletto. This way you can walk, stand, and dance all night.

OOTD: Shopping Day

Shopping days are the best days! One of my favorite places to shop in the Naples area is Waterside Shops. They have anything and everything designer there. A few of my favorite stops are Kate Spade, vineyard vines, J. Crew, Lilly Pulitzer, and Nordstrom. They also have higher end places like Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

For a day of shopping I opted for one my favorite Lilly pieces this two piece skirt and crop top set. It's one of my favorites because of this great pineapple print. I love how it is a hot pink and green combination. It is so fun and colorful! Perfect for the hot Florida weather. I've worn this set on the blog before, but mixed the skirt with a white button down. These two piece sets are great for mixing and matching with other pieces. It's like getting a ton of outfits for the price of one Lilly dress, which is great.

If you couldn't tell, I've been carrying my Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 with me everywhere since I got it for graduation. This has been my dream bag for as long as I can remember. I feel so grown-up with it, but people still asked if I wanted a kid's menu when I was carrying it, so maybe not fully grown up *insert angry emoji*. But, I love the size and I'm super happy with how much it carries!

*Work that up-do*
Does anyone remember that video? So funny! That's how I felt wearing this low ponytail. I normally don't go for a pony tail but with the hot weather I mixed things up and put it up. I actually really like how it looked. Taking out some small pieces in the front gives the ponytail a feminine touch.

Again, I kept my accessories super simple for this look. When in Florida wearing heavy jewelry gets super hot and it gets all sticky! Gross! That's why I usually gravitate towards a simple necklace, studs, and a small stack of bracelets.

OOTD: Pineapple Party

Pineapples and paradise are the perfect combination. A week or so ago I took a little vacation down to Naples and Marco Island with my boyfriend, his mom, and my mom! We called it a little mom's vacation. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the warm weather after a busy graduation. A little R&R is exactly what I needed to get charged up for the job search. Taking a little vacation, or even staycation, right after graduation is always a good idea. Get some rest, catch up on sleep, then get going on finding your perfect job.

As for my look it features pineapples, pineapples, and more pineapples! If you didn't already know, I love pineapples. For me it is the perfect summer motif and one of my favorite fruits. I'm usually not a yellow person, but I love the pop of yellow pineapples give to any outfit.

This dress is super old, but it is a goodie. I picked it up originally from the J. Crew Factory store. They still have this silhouette available in most locations. It is a great dress, and super flattering on a ton of different body types. It has a high waist then the skirt flows out, perfect for stuffing your tummy and a yummy dinner or lunch.

As for my adorable purse, I picked up on Aerie's website for less then $12! It was such a steal. It's perfect for a little going out purse or for Disney. I'm feeling major Dole Whip vibes from this entire look!

As for accessories, I keep things pretty simple when I'm at the beach. I wore my Pandora and Alex and Ani's like usual, then added a KJP rope bracelet for a nautical touch. Adding a pair of pearl studs then my KJP pearl necklace is the perfect way to complete this simple look. Top it off with my go-to Jack Rogers sandals and we are in business.

I wore this look to a casual lunch at the JW Marriot on Marco Island. But, it'd be perfect for a trip shopping or to lunch with your girlfriends during the summer. The dress is pretty light weight and is breezy. Not to mention it is a super easy dress to throw on.

OOTD: Under the Sea

Life is the bubbles, under the sea!
I'm loving this under the sea inspired Lilly dress. I wore this look to a rehearsal dinner for a family wedding a while back. This dress is perfect for dressing down or up. Pair it with a simple pair of Jack Rogers for a more casual look, or pair it with heels for a more formal look. The rehearsal dinner we attended was pretty casual, so my go-to Jacks were perfect for the look.

The colors in this dress are so dreamy. It combines my three favorite colors: purple, pink, and blue. I'm feeling major mermaid vibes with this dress. This print features little hidden fish that are sew-adorable. With all these under the sea vibes this dress makes the perfect summer piece. I also have a little work out jacket in this print because I love it so much!

This dress has a super unique zipper detail, along with the neoprene fabric. It gives you a feel of a scuba diver, but less tight of course. Lilly's dresses made of this fabric are seriously so comfortable! They are more breathable then their traditional cotton shifts, which make them the perfect summer time dress.

Fun fact, this cute little wall is right next to the Forever 21 at the Plaza. Not sure why the Forever 21 is so swanky there, but they have a little drop off drive way area and everything. Plus all these beautiful southwestern details on the outside. I love the Plaza because it has such unique architecture, considering it is pretty much in the midwest. It gives me major Italy and Spain vibes.

My accessories for this look are pretty simple. But, I am loving these new Alex and Ani Disney bracelets. They were a part of a Mother's Day collection. I got the Aristocats bracelet along with Mrs. Potts and Chip (aka my favorite Disney characters). When I saw these in the Shop Disney Park App (the best place to get Disney stuff while you aren't at the parks) I knew I had to get it. My parents gifted these two to me during graduation weekend! I also stacked my Pandora bracelet along with my Alex and Ani bangles. I've been doing this a lot recently and I love how it looks so dainty.

As for my bag, this Danielle Nicole rose bag is the perfect subtle Disney touch to a look. This blush color is to die for and matches practically anything. It's a small bag, but fits your must-have essentials like a small wallet, lipstick, and a powder compact. I picked this bag up at Box Lunch when I had their Lunch Money. So, I got $15 off! What a great deal.

OOTD: Cardinal & Gold

In honor of graduation, I wanted to post one last look feature my alma mater Iowa State University. This look is perfect for high school graduation pictures, featuring your new university or college, or for a basketball or sporting event at your school. It is a super simple look, but I love it.

So, this tee is so so cute. I picked it up at a store in Overland Park, Kansas at the Plaza. Charlie Hustle sells vintage inspired college and sports apparel and is such a cool store. In-store they even have some vintage tees and jerseys that are super cool. Side note: if you're ever in the Kansas City area the Plaza is the best place to shop!

The details in this tee are super cute. It's kind of like a short sleeve baseball tee. Not to mention the fabric is so so soft. Its the perfect comfy tee. I also adore the vintage Iowa State mascot. Nothing wrong with the new Cy, but this vintage little guy is too cute.

We need to talk about these adorable Lilly Bee University flats for a second. I have eyed these flats since I discovered the company, but never purchased them... until this year! Naturally I get cute Iowa State shoes as I am leaving Iowa State right... but I plan on wearing these on game days to support my team in a cute subtle way. They have a ton of different schools available in a few different styles. Iowa State is sometimes hard to come by for school apparel like this so I was super excited to get them! Also, their customer service is great. The size I ordered didn't fit and they let me exchange them and the new pair came super quickly.

Jeans and a college tee is the perfect go-to uniform to show school spirit. It's simple and comfortable. Some schools get super dressed up for tailgates and games, but at Iowa State, and most midwest schools, we keep things pretty casual. Which is great because you don't feel super pressured to find cute tailgating dresses and what not. Throw on a fun tee like this one and a pair of jeans or shorts and you're good to go.

It's been great wearing Cardinal and Gold the past four years. Moving from my high school colors that were blue and gold it was nice to have one common color in the mix. I will always cherish my memories at Iowa State at football games, basketball games, Greek Week, Homecoming, and more. It's been amazing to wear these great school colors with pride!
