I am a little over 5 days postpartum now writing this, BUT I wanted to share all of the products I am actually using post birth for me and my newborn. Let's start off with essentials for mom. I am living in this pair of pajamas. I got the set that includes shorts and pants. The tank is a nursing tank top so works for breastfeeding and pumping. It is super soft + the pants are maternity so plenty of room and not too tight on my c-section scar. Speaking of c-section this c-section recovery band has been so nice! It has a spot for ice packs, or heat packs. I've been using them as ice packs. It's great to wear around the house + I've worn it out to pediatrician appointments. Helps support everything + get pain relief with the ice packs. Current nursing and pumping essentials include reusable nursing pads, silverettes, & nipple butter. Save yourself some time and get this peri bottle. It really is superior to the hospital one! I didn't need it quite as much with a c-section but if you are planning on doing vaginal I imagine this would make a huge difference. We also got unscented hand soap for the house for visitors to use + us. Trying to get rid of all heavily scented products when possible!
Hi friends! Long time no chat. I've been busy over here, if you follow me on Instagram you may know that I am pregnant! It's been a long journey to get here, but I am so excited to be pregnant and to be starting our family. I may do a more in depth post about our fertility journey. But, for now I'll just say I was in the mood to celebrate this beautiful rainbow baby we have on the way. So with that I planned a gender reveal party with our immediate family and one of my closest friends.
Initially I was planning on doing a BIG gender reveal with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. However, we ended up getting pregnant and announcing during the winter time. A large party in our house with 40+ people low key sounded like a nightmare. We also kind of decided we wanted it to be more intimate and just our immediate family. My original plan was to do a Putters or Pearls themed gender reveal. As I thought more and more I thought I could come up with something more unique then hitting a golf ball that exploded pink or blue. Don't get me wrong I still LOVE that theme, but was tempted to come up with something else.
As I was brainstorming I thought it would be so cute to get a Tiffany necklace with either a pink or blue heart tag as the gender reveal. Then it evolved into the Baby & Co. gender reveal! We ended up going to our local Tiffany store to purchase the necklace. We gave our sales associate the envelope with the gender inside. She was so so sweet and was so excited for us! The same sales associate had sold us my Tiffany purse a few years back and remembered us. So it felt meant to be that she helped us out.
My husband and I did look at the gender prior to the party. 1. I just couldn't wait any longer! 2. We wanted a special moment just us two to find out the gender. Then we revealed it to our family at the party.
