OOTD: Spring Plaid

On Thursday it was finally warm enough to wear some spring clothes again! The past few days have been cold with temps around 50. Yuck! So, I was so excited to get outside and take some pictures.

For this look I simply paired a fun and bright plaid shirt with a dark wash jean. This plaid print is an adorable spring top for anyone's style. Normally I am not a big fan of orange but I think in this top it totally works. This top is super light and comfortable which makes it ideal to transition from spring into summer. If you style a top like this with a skirt and wedges or sandals it would be perfect for a summer evening.

I stole these adorable Sam Edelman sandals from my mom's shoe collection. Most sandals this season have thick straps which I love. I think it makes a bigger statement then thin strapped sandals that have been in style for forever. This sandal features a black ankle strap and a white snakeskin strap near the toes.

I wore this look to hang around the house and go on a movie date with my bestie. Whenever I go to see a movie, even in the summer, I try and wear long sleeves and longer pants. I'm always cold in the theater so a comfortable and warm look is a must!

For accessories I added a touch of black to my look. I wore pearl studs, my Kate Spade bow ring, along with my clear and black crystal statement necklace. My necklace is from J Crew and it matches everything! I love buying these kind of necklaces because they can go with a lot of different looks.

For my bag I carried this metallic gold Kate Spade small tote. My mom gave me this bag last spring and it is the perfect size! It's just big enough to carry everything I need for a movie date.

My friend and I saw Pitch Perfect 2! Be on the lookout for my thoughts and a review on the movie on the blog next week.

What is your favorite thing to wear to the movies? Have you seen Pitch Perfect 2 yet? Let me know in the comments!
XOXO
