OOTD: Bold Tights

Wearing colored tights is a great way to spice up your fall wardrobe. It's getting chilly but that doesn't mean you can't rock a cute dress in the fall and winter months. For this look I featured a teal color pair of fishnet style tights. These tights have a super unique pattern which adds a lot of texture and interest to the look.

I paired these funky tights with a coffee color dress from American Eagle. This dress is seriously the comfiest thing ever. Its stretchy which makes it comfortable to wear all day. Then I also wore my dark brown tall boots with a long chain necklace. The necklace has one strand of turquoise beads which ties in the color of my tights

The back of this dress is super cute! Its open without being to revealing and you don't have to wear sticky boobs! (Which I find to be always good)

OOTD: Inner Hippie

Alter ego?
Sometimes I like to mix up my style from my normal preppy looks and do something a little more edgy or boho. This outfit is one of those days! I got this super cute maroon tulle dress at a boutique in Iowa when I was visiting my friend. It is super fun and playful and can be styled in a lot of different ways. For this look I decided to keep it more edgy. To keep myself warm I layered the dress with an embroidered denim button down. It has a slight tribal pattern which gives the look a little edge. To make it seem not so oversized I tied the sides up into little nots. I love doing this because it keeps the shirt out of your way and makes it a little more girly. For jewelry I layered a short necklace and a very long chain. The chain has jewels that range in colors then the short necklace is a single spike dagger situation. For shoes I simply wore a pair of gold and silver sandals from Target.

However, my hair is what really makes the look a little more not myself! I decided to try and mix up the normal messy bun that morning. So, I made two pigtails super close to each other on the top of my head. Then I teased both pig tails then wrapped the hair around the elastic band to create two textured buns. I slightly pushed them together to create a kind of combined bun look. At first I didn't know how it would turn out but it actually looks super cute, messy, and playful. Normally I am a very slick sleek bun, mainly because I danced for 14 years (I have to have everything neat!), so this was definitely a change for my hair!

OOTD: Fur and Stripes

With new additions into my closet from Christmas I have been trying out my new pieces. One of them being my faux fur vest. I paired the vest with one of my favorite striped dresses from Forever 21. My color combination of the maroon, creme and black is a fun winter look.

Having a faux fur vest for the winter is actually really handy. If you are going to be outside layer it under your coat to keep you warm. I recently wore this downtown Chicago (look out for that post!) and it kept me super warm and cozy.

I love wearing maroon in the winter and fall. It's a color but at the same time it is super neutral.

For accessories I included an unique chain and rhinestone necklace, my new watch, and a pair of ballet flats.

{I have been styling my hair like this ever since Christmas. It may be my new signature hair look.}

OOTD: Green Machine

OOTD: Green Machine

Today was not the best day, my phone was stolen... However, I wore this super chic outfit so that makes up for it right? Not really but we will go with it.

This look I would call casual chic. Not only is this look is comfortable for a day of classes but it is also cute enough to grab some food with some friends later.

The look features a gorgeous borrowed necklace from my roommate. It is J Crew inspired and super beautiful!
I paired the look with a simple cream hat, a military inspired jacket, a plain grey v-neck, and a flouncy jersey skirt. On my feet I wore a pair of camel booties from Target.

My favorite bangle stack lately includes two Alex and Ani bangles along with a simple J Crew bangle.
