OOTD: Cozy Sparkle

OOTD: Cozy Sparkle

I don't wear sweatpants.... like hardly ever. But recently I picked up this pair of sparkly sweats from Aerie. So, these sweatpants are basically just sparkly pants.

This is how I dressed up my sweat pants into a look I think is presentable enough to go out in public in. I paired my sweatpants with a light wash denim shirt and a crystal statement necklace. The look I think is surprisingly chic yet lazy at the same time.

Overall, I am just obsessed with these sweats! I think they will be perfect to lounge around in when I'm feeling lazy at school. And the fact they are sparkly make them 100x more fabulous then your average sweatpants.

Fun NYE Accessories!

NYE Accessories
It may be Christmas day but you have to start planning out your NYE ensemble! Lucky for you I picked out some of my favorite bling pieces that would be perfect to wear to count in the new year.

Preppy

1. I am in love with these tear drop earrings. They have a touch of gold accents which makes them stand out from your average pair of earrings. These would be a great small statement to make on the big night.
2. This chunky oversized necklace would work great with a simple dress.
3. A small crystal necklace is also a great option to enhance a sequin look.

Girly

1. A gemmed bracelet is a fun way to play up a dress that may have embellishments at the neck.
2. This bib necklace is super unique and would be fun with a circle skirt and maybe a crop top.
3. A chandelier inspired necklace is perfect for a classic and girly girl.
4. You can never go wrong with a fun statement crystal necklace.

Edgy Glam

1. Mix things up with a bright orange necklace this NYE.
2. A fun chain and rhinestone bracelet will spice up a monochromatic dress.
3. These earrings I feel like are glamours spikes. Trade in your studs and spikes for one night of glamour. These earrings will sure do the trick!
4. This weaved beaded necklace is a cool and unique statement piece to pair with a simple dress.

Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Hope you have a great Christmas Eve and day!

OOTD: Holidays in Chicago

OOTD: Holidays in Chicago

Every year my family and I go downtown Chicago to go to the Walnut room and the Macy's on State Street. This year due to my wisdom teeth being removed we had to reschedule our normal trip. So, by the time we got there the walnut room was booked for the night! (It was crazy busy to say the least!) However we did get to take pictures with the tree and browse through ornaments.

For my outfit I wore my favorite sequin skirt and white button down. I mixed up the look with a pair of festive red tights and a plaid scarf. This plaid scarf may be one of my new obsessions! (So get ready to see it a lot.)

Bracelets: J Crew & Alex and Ani
Earrings: Kate Spade

I love these red tights! I was a little iffy about them but I saw Blair Waldorf sporting a pair on Gossip Girl so it kind of inspired me to buy a pair. And since Blair is my twin I figured I could work them as well.

Two of my holiday favorites include this nail polish by Essie (Beyond Cozy) and my gold glitter sunglasses by Betsey Johnson. Together they make a very sparkly combo.

{State Street Macy's in Chicago is my absolute favorite! We have been coming here to see the tree since as long as I can remember. Each year a different person designs/ decorates the tree and I love seeing how it changes from year to year.}

{My brother and I in front of the tree. You can see we both love plaid.}

Two of my favorite festive accessories! I always find myself reaching for this J Crew statement necklace. It is a total staple in my wardrobe.

{I spy Kate Spade dishes. When I am older I feel like all my dishes will be Kate Spade!}

{I wish I could pull off a Christmas tree as a skirt. How chic would that be?}

OOTD: Cozy Blush

OOTD: Cozy Blush

My winter break style continues! Today was a super lazy day consisting of popcorn eating, catching up on Awkward (can't even talk about it!), and blogging of course!

I bundled up in this super soft sweater and a simple pair of jeans. My blush top has a small detail at the top with a chiffon flounce. To accent my blush colored top I wore a statement necklace with subtle hints of pink.
Basically my necklace obsession is a little out of hand. And by little I mean a lot. However this one was only $7 at Dry Goods! So it was justifiable. (not really but we will go with it)

I styled my hair in a pony tail because my hair was just not working with me this morning! But I made up with my makeup look of the day. My eyes featured brown and copper tones and on my lips I wore a dark cherry red.

This necklace is so gorgeous! It may be one of my new favorites. I can see it with a lot of outfits and it matches a lot of things in my closet. Not to mention it is pretty oversized. (in my eyes the bigger the better when it comes to necklaces!)

Pinterest Hair- Topsy Tail

Pinterest Hair- Topsy Tail
Everyone loves trying out a new hairstyle, well maybe not everyone. But, this is a super easy do that will spice up a normal pony tail.

To achieve this look you simple start with sectioning off a half up pony tail on the top of your head. Then you flip the pony tail in to create the loop effect. You continue to do this two more times. Then on the bottom you have your pony tail.

Here is how I re-created the look. It is super easy and makes your pony tail look super complicated when it really wasn't. Also, it is a great do for when your hair is too full of static!
