Bushel of Fun

A bushel full of fun! I love going apple picking in the fall. I always go to the same apple orchard and pumpkin patch year after year. I've gone so many years that it feels weird to not take a trip! My favorite apple orchard is Honey Hill Orchard in Waterman, IL. It is a drive but it is so worth it.

This year sadly we went too late for apple picking. It has rained non-stop in the Chicago area and I wanted to go on a dry day. Luckily, I was able to head there on Columbus Day when I had the day off! We weren't able to pick apples but we stocked up on apple pie, apple cider donuts, apple cider, popcorn, and we picked raspberries!

You can also go pumpkin picking at Honey Hill! They seriously have some gorgeous pumpkins. Plus you can wander through the patch and get the full Midwest fall experience.

For my apple orchard look my Bean Boots are an essential component. It gets muddy in the fields so I try to always wear them when I go! They are super durable plus look cute. I always wore chunky socks with them and have them peak out the top of the boots. Makes for a super cozy relaxed look. Not to mention they are super practical for the Midwest fall and winters. Can't go wrong with a pair of Bean Boots.

Then of course I wore this gorgeous Barbour jacket. This is part of their 125th anniversary collection called Re-Engineered Icons. They are all inspired by archive pieces throughout the 125 years of Barbour. This style in particular is one of my favorites! Gorgeous velvet details, a lining infused with sparkly threads, and just a ton of small meaningful details.

To complete the perfect fall look I wore this cozy J. Crew Factory sweater from last year and my trusty Paige jeans. To top it all off I carried my adorable Mickey pumpkin backpack.

Where it's from:
Jacket: Barbour
Sweater: J. Crew Factory (similar)
Jeans: Paige
Boots: LL Bean
Backpack: Shop Disney
Location: Honey Hill Orchard, Waterman, IL

Which do you prefer? Apple picking or picking out a pumpkin? Let me know in the comments!
XOXO
