OOTD: Pumpkin Patch Plaid

A trip to the pumpkin patch is crossed off my fall bucket list! Going to pick apples, eat cinnamon apple donuts, and finding a cute pumpkin is the best part of fall. Fall isn't complete without some fun in the pumpkin patch.

For this look I went all out fall: plaid, corduroy, and stripes. Shades of navy and green are the perfect fall combination. I love this vest I bought a few years ago from Target. With it being on sale it was quite a steal and I love wearing it during the fall season. It's great to layer over button downs or a dress.

Fun decorative pins like this dog broach are a unique way to add some personality to your blazer. This pin is from Cath Kidston and I picked it up while I was in London last year. For my other accessories I wore a KJP rope bracelet, Alex and Ani bangles, and my Michele watch. Tall chocolate brown riding boots complete the fall ensemble.

Skincare Routine with Clarisonic!

Recently I tried the Clarisonic Mia Deep Pore Mia 2 and I am loving it! So, I thought I would share my current skincare/ makeup removing routine with you all. My Clarisonic is new for me, but some of these products are my go-to when it comes to skincare.

I first start off by removing my makeup. My micellar cleansing water from Garnier is my new holy grail beauty product. This stuff works wonders I'm telling you. I simply put it on a cotton pad place on my eye lids and it removes all of my makeup without any harsh rubbing. Since I tried this I haven't used makeup wipes because it does a way better job! Also, it's a lot cheaper because you purchase the bottle and it lasts quite a while.

After I remove my makeup I go in with my Clarisonic Deep Pore Mia 2 device. The Deep Pore Mia 2 is great because it really gets down into your pores and cleans your skin thoroughly. After I use it my skin feels super refreshed and clean. Sometimes I use it with the deep pore face gel that came with the device, but you can easily swap it out with any face wash you prefer. Sometimes I mix things up and use the Nutrogena Oil Free Acne wash. The Deep Pore Mia 2 has two different speeds so you can customize it to your skin needs. I use the normal speed because my skin can be sensitive sometimes. But, there is a faster speed available. Since I have sensitive skin I was worried the brush would be to harsh and aggravate my skin, but I think it's actually helped my skin! My skin feels way cleaner then when I just wash my face normally. Plus the device pulses when you should switch positions on your face so you can target everywhere for the appropriate amount of time.

Once I've washed my face once or twice a week I like to do a face mask. I've been using my Clarisonic deep pore mud mask which leaves your skin super smooth! The best part? You can remove it with the Clarisonic device so it has an easy clean up. If I don't use that I like picking up sheet masks or peel off masks from Target or Sephora. They are not only super relaxing but have different benefits depending on what mask you select. I usually go for exfoliating or moisturizing because my skin can get dry.

Fall Wishlist

striped bow tie | black loafers | frilly sweater | striped dress

It's officially fall! Thank goodness. I'm honestly tired of the 90 degree weather and humid days! I'm ready for crisp fall air, Halloween candy, and fall scents. These are a few pieces I am lusting over for this fall season! Stripes, tailored pieces, and some menswear inspiration is giving me major fall vibes.

What is on your fall wishlist? Let me know in the comments!

OOTD: Fall Floral

*Still waiting patiently for fall weather.* But, even if it stays warm I am so in fall mode! I'm bringing on the fall florals with this fun mixed print peter pan collar dress. Mixing prints is one of my favorite things so this dress is perfect. It's from a local boutique in Iowa and I've been dying to wear it.

I paired this fun dress with a bold jewel statement necklace. Pairing statement necklaces with button downs is one of my favorite things to do. So, pairing it with this collared dress is a must! To complete the look I also wore stacked bracelets and some rhinestone sandals.

This look is channeling my inner Blair Waldorf. Floral prints, collars, and some bling is bringing me major Blair vibes. Also, don't these steps remind you of B and S chilling on the Met steps? Whenever I see these steps on campus I always think of Gossip Girl!

I love this look for a day of classes. Wearing dresses are super comfortable, at least for me, and make getting ready so easy in the morning. One piece of clothing and your good to go!

OOTD: Tied Neck Scarf

Little tied neck scarfs are a HUGE new trend this fall. Although I'm not edgy enough to pull off some of the looks I've seen, I've made the scarf trend my own with this fun classic look with a twist.

I paired this fun pleated striped skirt with a simple denim button down to add a pop of color and a contrasting print together. The dainty polka dots from the scarf mixed with a thicker stripe creates a Blair Waldorf worthy look. This is also a super easy way to try out mixing prints because the addition of a tiny scarf won't over power your main print. Try and separate your prints with the scarf on top and a printed bottom paired with a simple top to balance out the look.

This look called for a simple pair of black flats to compliment the school girl vibes from this pleated skirt. I also accessorized the look with my go-to pink cross body bag and some simple bracelets.

The flowers on my campus are actual goals! During the fall and spring campus is in full bloom with a ton of greenery and beautiful blooms. These are located right outside of a building where I have class practically every semester. Although I might be in Ames, Iowa State sure does have a beautiful campus.
