What I Wore: 4th of July

For Fourth of July weekend I headed up to Crane Lake Minnesota with my boyfriends family for a weekend in the wilderness. Although I am not an "outdoorsy" person whatsoever I took on the adventure and learned how to fish, explored the national park, and floated in the lake. For 4th of July it was a casual affair, but I still wanted to dress up and look cute for the small town parade and day near the water.

My solution was this fun flowy tassel dress I picked up from Francesca's a while back. I've worn it before but I paired it with a fun blue and white bag to tie in the red, white, and blue theme that I love so much. Nothing screams 4th of July quite like a head to toe patriotic look. I may have been overdressed, but I couldn't help but dress up for America's birthday!

To accessorize the look I wore a simple pair of gold Jack Rogers, my go to sandal, and some KJP bracelets. I love this anchor Vickers Bow bracelet for summer and especially for the 4th! Nautical touches just seem super patriotic to me.

Even though this look was centered around the 4th, it isn't too obnoxious where it couldn't work in everyday life. Simply swap the bag for something a bit more neutral and you can re-wear this look for any summer day. During the day I was decked out in flag gear, a later post to come, but it was nice taking a more subtle approach to 4th of July.

Kiel James Patrick, aka KJP, is having 25% off everything right now! If you couldn't tell, KJP bracelets are apart of many of my looks. They are must-have for me and this is the time to buy them! If your looking for a great neutral bracelet I suggest a navy, white, or gold style. They also have brown or black leather options! When it comes to KJP you can't really go wrong, but my personal favorite style is the Vickers Bow bracelet.
