Favorites of the Week

A weekly update...... Here are a few of my favorites from this past week!

Plaid scarves | If you follow my Instagram you have probably realized that I have a slight plaid obsession and by slight I mean large. This scarf from Target is my life. Not only is it super trendy but also it keeps me super warm. Here in Iowa it is getting painfully cold. So, scarves are a must-have in my wardrobe.

Sperry Topsider watch | I recently picked up this watch at TJMaxx that I have been eyeing for a while now. For around $50 you can't beat the price! Also, the colors basically match everything that I have been wearing recently. Navy is for sure my new black so this navy and green watch compliments a lot of my outfits.

Rocksbox | This week I recently discovered something I think is pretty cool! Rockbox is a jewelry subscription service that basically sends you fabulous jewelry for a flat rate each month. With an invite link you can get one month free. So I got one and I decided that I wanted to see what it was all about. Once I get my first box I am going to decide if I think it is worth to continue. But, I have never done a subscription service like this so I thought why not try it out! Be on the lookout for a post on my first Rocksbox.

FOUR & 1989 | Numbers is clearly a theme here! But these two albums have been my addiction recently. In case you guys didn't know, One Directions newest album officially is out! New One Direction songs will be my saving grace the week leading up to Thanksgiving break. Be on the lookout for a post on my top favorite songs from the album! Also, Taylor Swift's album is still a hardcore favorite. Check out my post on my favorite songs from the album.

Thats my weekly update! What are your favorites from last week? Let me know in the comments!

Holiday Outfit Ideas: Cold Weather Days

Holiday Outfit Ideas: Cold Weather Days

Winter is now in full swing. Snow is everywhere and it is basically freezing all the time. So, how can you bundle up and still look fashionable?
Well, having fun with coats and winter accessories will make those cold days a little better.

{This red coat with the scallop trim is adorable!}

Cold Weather Days

Playing up with your winter accessories is any easy way to have fun with your winter coat. From hats, scarves, gloves, and headbands the possibilities are endless!

The Black Coat has a very unique pattern. If you mix this pattern with a fun hat, scarf, and more simple gloves you have the perfect balanced look.

 Pastel coats are in! And this Pink Coat is super soft and fluffy. By adding a patterned scarf you can add a little more interest to the look. Then pick a leather pair of gloves with some fun metal details.

With a solid color coat like this Purple Coat you can add some patterned accessories to your look. These Henri Bendel fingerless gloves are prefect for a social media addict. Then every girl should have a fun pair of ear muffs! I personally have a cheetah pair and I think they are just adorable.

My Picks:

I have this coat from American Eagle and it is an AMAZING coat. As a college student you find yourself walking outside in the cold or in most cases waiting outside in the cold for a bus. This coat actually keeps me super warm and cozy through it all, which is super nice. It is sold out as of now but I would keep checking back to see if they re-stock it because it is amazing! However, places like Northface make similar coats to this one this one is just a little more affordable.

I also have a houndstooth peacoat that I wear during the winter months. My coat is from Guess and I purchased it at Macy's. Since I got it last year they don't have the exact same one but Macy's has very similar options on their website. I think houndstooth is a fun pattern but is still neutral to wear everyday. Also, it is normally in style so you can have the coat for a long time. I like to wear a heavy peacoat in the winter when I am going somewhere nice and I am wearing a dress or something like that.
