OOTD: Floral and Stripes

August 3rd, 2013:

Today I experimented with mixing patterns. Some people pull off this look so well. I admire anyone who can wear 3 different patterns and look good doing it! However I tried doing the same thing but a little more toned down.

The Outfit: I paired this small striped crop top with this bright floral skirt. The look is playful and kind of reminds me of something Kate Spade would put together. I layered two statement necklaces to add extra bling and sparkle. I styled my hair in my signature braided topknot. Bright pink lipstick ties in with the pink flowers in the skirt. I completed the look with my normal stud earrings, bangles, and a bright neon belt.

College Diaries: Backpack

August 2nd, 2013:
College Diaries:
So today my backpack came in the mail! I ordered this off Kipling's website. It is the backpack with the laptop sleeve and I chose a purple color. The backpack is made out of a nylon material.
Here is a link to my backpack:
I got this backpack on sale and it was around $80. Then I also got free shipping when I ordered it.

The front zip compartment has a bunch of tiny slots as well as a clip to hold keys.
On the top of the backpack it has a place for your phone or iPod.

A cute detail on all Kipling bags is the monkey key chain. I just think it's so cute!

The backpack's main compartment has a laptop sleeve  section a main section then another pocket area.

Overall I love this backpack! Of course I haven't used it yet but it is super cute and I love the color! When I start using it more and more I will try and remember to do a review on how it holds up and how much it holds.
Keep an eye out for more of my College Diaries series.

Blog Haul: City Shopping

Blog Haul:
August 2nd, 2013:
Today I went shopping in the city with my friend and this is what I picked up!

First thing I got was this Urban Outfitters skirt. It was originally $44. I saw it a while ago on sale for $20 but decided not to get it. I'm glad I waited because I got it for $10! Also, they gave me a 10% coupon so basically the tax was free. Overall, it was a pretty good deal.

Next store I went to was Forever 21. I found a lot of good stuff there. First I got this black and white patterned circle skirt. It fits really well and was only $12. Then this muscle tank...... French fries are my favorite food so I knew I needed this.

Did you really expect me not to buy something One Direction? This was near the checkout and I had to get it. It is just a 2014 calendar.

These are just some little things. I love these fabric hair ties they were only $3 for 5 hair ties which I thought was pretty good! Also I got these London socks for $1.80. They were super cute so why not.

Last thing I picked up was this pair of snow boots. I have been wanting a pair like these for a long time. I got them at Akira and they were originally $150 and I got them for $50. Pretty good steal if you ask me.

The after math........

OOTD: Day in the City

August 2nd, 2013:

Today, I went shopping with my friend downtown Chicago on State Street. It was a lot of fun and I got of good stuff.

The Outfit: This outfit is casual but dressy at the same time. I paired this bright printed skirt with a denim vest and a plain white tank. This skirt is super fun because it has a bunch of ruffles on the bottom. The fit I also find very flattering. It is tight at the top then it goes out a little bit where the ruffles are. I completed the look with a statement necklace, bracelets, and my white Keds sneakers.

Vest: American Eagle

Necklace: Target

OOTD: High Waisted Fun

August 1st, 2013:

Hello everyone! Today I kept things super casual I have been this whole week oddly enough. But, here is my outfit! Today I basically just ran errands did a few blog posts and scheduled them so I feel kind of productive. However I did spend most of my day on the couch watching Pitch Perfect and America's Next Top Model marathons.

The Outfit: I am wearing this super basic black crop top tee. For some reason I feel like this ensemble is very Brandy Melville California girl. I paired the top with just plain high waisted shorts. Finishing the look off with a pink bib necklace and my signature monogram M necklace. Might I add that my Keds are my Mom's Keds from the 90's! So vintage I know. I actually get a lot of compliments on them which is funny because I picked them up from the back of my Mom's closet.

College Diaries: My New Mac

August 1st, 2013:

Happy August everyone! So, classes and school is quickly approaching. The last days of summer are coming faster then we all think. Which means only one thing.... Back to School Shopping!

Personally, back to school shopping is literally my favorite time of the year. So, I will defiantly be showing all of the goodies I got for college and a tour of my dorm once everything is all figured out. But, for now I want to share my new computer! Before this computer I had my brother's old Mac book pro (2009). It was an older model but all I used it for was going on the internet and making Youtube videos. So it fit my purposes fine. However, I am happy to have a brand spanken new computer.

They give college students a really good discount! You get $200 off your computer plus this $100 iTunes gift card. Which honestly will probably last me the whole year.
