Here is another OOTD featuring stripes! I paired this striped skirt with a simple denim button and some black tights. To spice up the look I wore a bold red lip and layered two necklaces. For shoes I wore a pair of suede ankle booties. Overall this look was super fun and simple.

Pastels are always a huge trend in the spring. Personally I love wearing light and girly colors. So, how can you adapt this major trend to your style? So many pastels so little time! Here are some of my pastel must haves. Every girl needs pastel in their closet! Whether it is a pair of Sperry's, some shades, or a statement necklace pastel is in. 

Target has done it again..... 

Target has yet another collaboration in stores right now! This collab is not only bold, colorful, and graphic but it is super chic. The collaboration is with Peter Pilotto and it incorporates a lot of colors and patterns into the garments. You may be thinking that you can't pull off these looks. But, in reality they are super fun and are great for spring or even supper. I can picture someone wearing these pieces with things that they already own to tone them down.

Here are 6 outfit ideas incorporating the Peter Pilotto collection at Target. Almost everything you see you can purchase at Target! It's a one stop shop. But other pieces are from Forever 21 and other affordable stores. 

My favorite look is the dress in the lower right corner! It is super bold and has a great print.

Oscar Fashion 2014

{The infamous Oscar selfie! Got to love Ellen!}

{My favorite moment was when two of my favorite people came on stage! How cute are they? I can't get over it. Also, her dress was gorgeous on top of it all.}

My favorite looks: 

Jennifer Gardner's dress was FOR SURE one of my favorites if not my favorite. For some reason I loved how their was a fringe detail and how it sparkled on stage. It is kind of Gatsby chic which is totally my style. If I were to go to an award show I would for sure want this dress. 

Anna Kendrick's dress was super unique I thought. I like the cut outs, the slit, and the red accent beading. Overall I really liked her whole look. It was very sophisticated but still sexy. 

  

Lupita seems to be all the rage from the Oscar's. Not only has she made a splash everywhere but also her dress has! It is a gorgeous Prada blue gown and it is perfect. I like how it popped against the red carpet as well as how it flowed when she walked. 

Anne Hathaway looked gorgeous in her black dress! I like the added sparkle details to it. And in my opinion Anne Hathaway always looks perfect.

1. The first picture features a new purchase in the month of February. I am obsessed with this triangle pattern on this J Crew sweatshirt. For my accessories I layered two fun and edgy necklaces.  

2. This picture is a collection of accessories I sported towards the end of the month. I am loving my houndstooth J Crew baseball cap. It's perfect for winter or the fall. 

3. I love sweaters with fun sayings. This one is totes amaze! 

4. I was super happy to see my mom during our Pi Phi mom's weekend! It was a great break from dorm life and it was nice to visit with her :) 

5. My best friend and I out on a Thursday night. Crazy I know.

Tips for surviving college: 

College is a super fun and exciting time. However, things can get overwhelming fast. Whether it is clubs, sorority, classes, or friendships college is always throwing you a curve ball. I may have only been in college for a little over a semester. But, I have been through a lot and also learned a lot. I am giving you my inside tips and tricks to surviving college. Not to mention I will tell you my college essentials that every college girl needs. 

How to survive college part one: what you will need

There are a few things that you will need to help you survive your time through college. 

This outfit is super fun and bright! I have addiction to striped tees recently. They are super fun and nautical and of course preppy. This one in particular is a bright neon shirt with a bold royal blue stripe on the top. I paired the bright top with a simple basic black skirt. A black skirt is a must have in my book because it will go with literally anything and everything! For shoes I wore my Hunter boots to prevent the snow that is still on the ground here in Ames. My accessories include bold blue earrings and a stack of gold bracelets and my favorite watch.
