College Series: Iowa State Fashion Show

Thats a wrap! The Fashion Show 2015 is officially over. I've had such a great experience helping plan this amazing show.

For those of you who don't know, The Fashion Show is one of the largest student run organizations at Iowa State. As a committee member I was in charge of helping plan and execute an on-campus pop-up shop. It was such a fun a great experience to put together the store, work it on the day of the event, and get to show off all of our hard work!

Although I worked the pop-up shop there are many other elements that go into the Fashion Show. From designers, models, directors, producers, and committee members there are many students involved in the planning of the show.

The show showcases student apparel work at the university. Students submit their designs to be shown in the show. It is a great way for students to display their work and talents.

Since the Fashion Show is one of the biggest fashion events at my school I had to deck out for the occasion. I was saving this romper for something big and it was perfect for the show! This romper features a low neckline and a unique ruffle detail that appears to look like a skirt. I paired the romper with a bold violet statement necklace. This necklace features oversize gems and a unique gold fringe detail. It was such a great piece that I recently picked up from a Baublebar sale! For only $20 it is a great bargin with huge impact. Also, I wore a pair of bold violet pumps. This was a great way to add even more color into my look.

Where it's from:
Romper: Akira
Shoes: Sam Edelman
Necklace: Baublebar
Earrings: Kate Spade
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets: Alex and Ani

Here is a condensed version of our pop-up shop! We re-created it the day of the show to show attendees what we did the day before.
