OOTD: Winter Snow

Snow storm in Chicago? Well might as well go downtown to take some pictures! Pretty much us this weekend. We headed downtown to get some couple shots with a photographer this weekend. We booked prior to knowing the weather. But, we got amazing pictures in the snow with the city backdrop. It was crazy cool! Naturally I had to stop and take some solo pictures as well.

This coat is an oldie but a goodie. It is the classic J. Crew cocoon wool coat. I've had it since college and I was obsessed with the purple color. Purple is my favorite so at the time it was a need. It is such a unique shade and is kind of a lilac periwinkle color. I'm loving all of the subtle Valentine's Day vibes with this look. Perfect pastels for January and February.

My adorable earmuffs are from Lele Saodughi. These are the perfect compromise between warmth and style. It combines their classic pearl headband with earmuffs. Honestly so genius and so warm! I love wearing these to keep warm in the winter, but have a little bit more style then other alternatives.

These Aquatalia boots are amazing. I'm strictly a riding boot kind of girl. I don't love booties or over the knee boots. So when I found these Aquatalia boots on sale I knew I had to snag them. Best part is they are waterproof! So if you live in a snowy area like me they are perfect. You don't have to sacrifice practicality with style. I've linked similar styles that are also on sale below.
