OOTD: Tiffany Blue and Polka Dots

Polka dots and Tiffany blue
Today features a fun pair of navy polka dot pants and a bright Tiffany blue sweater. These pants are super fun and not to mention comfortable. I would consider them a classy sweat pant. For accessories I wore my Tiffany blue rosette necklace to add a bold statement. On my feet I wore my classic pair of neutral Sperry Top Sider boat shoes. This look was super fun, preppy, and comfortable!

Remember, you CAN look cute and comfy! Resist the urge to wear the sweatpants!

Blog Haul: J Crew madness

J Crew Madness
The obsession is real......

On my way home for the weekend we pass by a J Crew factory store.  Essentially I am very obsessed with J Crew recently. Most of the stuff I have been wearing is from J Crew. I love how everything is super fun and cute but also very classic and sophisticated.

So naturally I had to stop in! It was a huge shopping success. With the whole store being 50% off its a very dangerous place. And I picked up for some great things for great prices!

{Above}
I picked up some AMAZING jewelry pieces! I got a huge statement necklace for only $17! Then both of the bracelets were around $10 and the earrings were $13. These are all super great deals for J Crew jewelry. I almost died I was so excited.

My favorite piece is for sure the pearl bracelet. I have the matching necklace so they will be a perfect pair.

Here are all of the clothing pieces I also picked up! The clothing haul includes 2 pairs of pants, a pair of shorts, an anchor denim button down, and a embroidered style top. One of the pants has a super great pattern with blues, greens, and pinks. Also, I picked up a fun pair of seersucker pants that will be great for spring. Then I couldn't pass up a fun pair of plaid shorts for only around $20.
The anchor button down shirt may be my new obsession also. It is totally my style! Also, it feeds my nautical obsession...... which is good and bad at the same time. Then I got another fun top that is white with a printed embroidered pattern.

Rainy Day Movie Ideas!

April showers bring April movie nights!

So, at some point in the spring we all end up sitting at home on a Saturday night because its raining and it is still kind of cold and crummy out. However, there is one thing I love to do on rainy days.... watch movies of course!

So get some popcorn popping, a nice cold diet coke in your hand, and a few bags of candy ready for your very own movie night. Whether you are with your boyfriend (ha me with a boyfriend thats funny!) or with your gal pals, or a big group of friends here are my top rainy day movie picks!

1. The romantic dramatic route: Sometimes you just need to cry. Well, I feel like that sometimes I don't know about you..... My two favorite movies to cry to have to be Charlie St. Cloud and Stuck in Love. I recently watched Stuck in Love for the first time on Valentines day when I was being alone and sad. But, it is actually such a great movie. It really pulls on your heart strings no matter who you are! Also can we please discuss Logan Lerman YUM! Speaking of yummy Zac Efron stars in Charlie St. Cloud so if that isn't enough reason for you to watch it I don't know what is. However, this movie makes me cry every single time! Between the brother and Zac's character it just gets me. Stuck in Love is available on Netflix so if you have that you are golden!

{Why hello Zac Efron <3}

2. 80's classics: I am a huge fan of 80's movies! My top favorites have to be Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Dirty Dancing. So if you are in the mood for a fun but also deep movie these are all good picks! Sixteen Candles is also probably the funniest thing ever.

{Jake Ryan is such a cutie! Can't even deal}

3. Straight up hilarious: I am a HUGE fan of romantic comedies and comedies in general. It is very hard to narrow down my favorites. So I won't narrow them down and I'll tell you most of them: Brides Maids (if you haven't seen this what are you doing with your life?), Horrible Bosses (straight up the best movie ever), The Proposal (Ryan Reynolds YUM), She's the Man (classic Amanda Bynes flick), and finally Pitch Perfect (no description needed).
4. Fashion obsessed: My two favorite fashion flicks are Devil Wear's Prada and Confessions of a Shopoholic. They are super funny and have literally the best clothes out of any movie EVER!
{Miranda Priestly is my spirit animal}

5. Reminiscing on childhood: Sometimes you think of those GREAT movies that you watched when you were in the 5th grade. Some of my personal favorites are the Lizzie McGuire Movie, Princess Diaries, Parent Trap, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Sleepover. These three are great girls night in movies that will make you miss the 90's/ early 2000's and hair scrunchies. Also if you are feeling nostalgic any Disney classic is a good bet!

Those are my top rainy day movie picks! But these movies are great even if it isn't raining. Comment below if you watch any of these on your raining day movie night!!

OOTD: Rainy Day Chic

It's raining its pouring.....
So basically, it was super crummy earlier this week! It was snowing/ raining in April.. like why can't it be nice and warm? I took advantage of the rain and busted out my black Hunter rain boots. I paired them with a pair of black polka dots pants with a bright red top. For accessories I wore a bold black statement necklace along with my black monogram baseball cap.

This look is super preppy yet fun. It made my rainy day a little less sucky....

OOTD: Am I a hippe? Possibly....

Somethings I have these random moments when I feel like I am living in the 70's. It is sometimes (key word sometimes) to change up my normal J Crew preppy style for something different! In this instance I decided to be super hipster I guess. I paired my oversize green army inspired jacket with a fun floral dress. It was still a little chilly outside so I wore a pair of brown tights and brown boots.

For accessories I wore a contrasting floral headband across my head. My friend kept making fun of me saying that my headband looked like a t-shirt wrapped around my head. But he clearly just doesn't understand the head wrap trend that I have been seeing a lot of this spring! I also wore a fringe style necklace that I have worn many times before. Then of course no outfit is complete without my bangles and watch.

Also, in the picture I am covering my nose because I have been dying of a cold these past 12 days! So that is why I haven't been posting as much. Between 3 tests, sewing a skirt, and being sick this 2 weeks have been..... well very busy!
