Travel Diaries: Disney Day 4 & 5

Day 4: Another day at Epcot
For the fourth day of our trip we went back to Epcot. Normally when my family and I go to Disney we go to Epcot and Magic Kingdom twice. So, for our second day we browsed the countries, ate lots of food, and went on our favorite rides again.

My family and I are addicted to the Italian restaurant in Epcot. We ate there for our first day at Epcot as well. I am boring and I got the same thing as last time, pizza. It's just to good not to eat twice! But, I did change things up and I got a different dessert. I got an Italian soda float which had a fruity soda and vanilla gelato.

At night my Mom and I stayed for the illuminations show. It features lights, fireworks, and a globe! Staying for this show is always cool. Who doesn't love fireworks?

Day 5: Hollywood Studios
Next stop on the Disney vacation was Hollywood Studios! Hollywood Studios is super fun and has a lot of shows and some great rides. Here are my favorite things at the park.....
Food: Pizza Planet based off of Toy Story
Rides: Rocking Roller Coaster, Star Tours, and the Great Movie Ride
Shows: Beauty and the Beast show and Frozen Sing Along

I am a HUGE Frozen fan. Yet again who isn't? We went to the Disney Frozen sing along where we got to sing to all of the songs from the movie. It was super fun and the actors and actresses in the show made it super funny. Above is a shot of my leather Frozen bracelet that I got customized. I always pick up a few of these bracelets when I'm at Disney. The idea of customizing them is super fun and makes for a great souvenir!

Pizza planet is for sure my favorite place to eat at Hollywood Studios! I mean you basically get to eat in the place where Woody and Buzz where in Toy Story. The place is decorated just like the movie!

Disney frozen bananas are the best frozen bananas. This is a great frozen treat if you want something less fattening.

The last thing we did for the night was go to Fantasmic. I have not been to this show in so long! So, I was excited to see it again. I have to say it was better then I remembered.

Travel Diary: Travel Day and Disney Day 1

Travel Day: Flying and arriving to the hotel
Early Friday morning we started our day by heading to the airport. Luckily our flight was on time and we arrived in Orlando right on schedule. For the first day we just wandered around. First we checked into our hotel which is Disney's Boardwalk Villas. Then we continued to explore the Contemporary resort (we have stayed there in the past), Port Orleans resort, as well as Downtown Disney.

Downtown Disney was a mad house! So we didn't end up staying long. But, they had a super cool store called the Marketplace Co-op. The store included a wide variety of little pop-up like shops. I thought it was very well merchandised (the fashion major in me talking) and super cute!

Disney Day 1: Magic Kingdom
For our first day at the parks we went to Magic Kingdom which is for sure a favorite of mine. Here is a list of my top favorite things to do:
-Rides: Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, Tea Cups, Buzz Lightyear, and the Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor
-Food: Dole pineapple frozen treats, popcorn, Be Our Guest restaurant, and Gaston restaurant for cinnamon rolls

My lovely outfit includes my bid day tank, running shorts from Target, Lilly Pulitzer sunglass strap, and Ked sneakers. Unfortunately my tank is super long so you couldn't see my shorts. But, it was a hot day so it ended up working out!

Our first stop in the morning was a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace. I dined on puffed French toast, an egg and cheese omelet, fruit, and bacon. It was all quite yummy! Before breakfast we got into the park early which is when we took pictures in front of the castle without anyone in the background.

Here are a few shots of the lovely food that I ate later in the day. I snacked on a Mickey Mouse pretzel (always tasty) and we ate at Be Our Guest restaurant for lunch. Be Our Guest is based on Beauty and the Beast and it is so cool inside! For lunch I ate a roast beast (get it?) sandwich, french fries, and a triple chocolate cupcake.

The castle all lit up! All the Christmas decorations were still up which were so fun to see. You can't beat Disney at Christmas time.

Be on the lookout for more "Travel Diary" posts on my trip to Disney!

Disney's Frozen!

One of my recent obsessions is the movie frozen. I know what your thinking, "I'm to old to see a cartoon".  WRONG! This movie is one of the cutest movies in the history of the world I swear! It has a really great plot, characters, and message. Not to mention the songs that make you want to sing along.

I have listened to some of them on repeat this whole week and I am addicted to them!

The characters in the movie are really great and are well developed. Disney makes it super easy for you to fall in love with them. Especially Olaf the snowman he is my personal favorite!

If you haven't seen this movie you need to! It is such a great film and is perfect for all ages.

Disney Week: Cruella De Ville

Day 5: Cruella De Ville

Cruella De Ville may be one of the most fabulous villans of Disney. So, I created a look that would be a perfect party look.

This Topshop romper is a super fun and glamorous. Pairing it with red accessories and lips represents her gloves and her personal red lips. With junky rhinestone accessories it adds sparkle and an extra level of classiness to the look.

Disney Week: Aristocats

Day 4: Aristocats

Marie is one adorable cat. She is super cute and super sassy. I made an outfit that reflected her her character and her appearance.

I paired an embellished button down with a fun pair of patterned pants. This fun is chic and fun. I love the pink pattern on the pants. It is a fun pop of color to the look. For shoes I used a pair of bow embellished ballet flats. The bow mimics the bow that Marie always wears. For accessories I used a sparkly bracelet to complete the look.

Disney Week: Hercules

Day 3: Hercules

Hercules is one of my obsessions recently. (It's on Netflix people go watch it.) The part where Meg sings this song is my favorite part. So, I wanted to do a Greek god inspired look and replicate Meg's purple dress.

For this look I paired a flowy purple tank that has sheer panels. It kind of resembles Meg's flowy dress. Then I paired the tank with a simple pair of black ankle pants. I added gold accents and jewelry for a Greek God inspired look. Then to finish it off use a dark plum lipstick!

Disney Week: Alice and Wonderland

Day 2: Alice and Wonderland

Alice and Wonderland is such a whimsical movie. Here is a funny picture I found with a floral crown. Who knew the cat would predict such a fashion trend.

This look was inspired by this picture and the overall feel of the movie. I wanted something that was whimsical, fun, and floral.

I paired a striped basic top with just a simple pair of jeans. With a bold and colorful necklace it gives the look a fun touch. Then a simple flower crown to add to your hair look to add an extra touch. Pair your ensemble with a pair of ballet flats (like Alice's in the movie!) and a fun floral bag.

Overall, Alice and Wonderland is a crazy and out there movie. So, mixing patterns and colors is a great way to draw inspiration from the movie.

Disney Week: Dumbo

Welcome to Disney Week! I will be off and on vacation on a Disney Cruise. Of course you will hear all about it once I am back but I wanted to bring the fun of Disney to my blog!

So here is a week of Disney character inspired outfits. Each day will be a different character and a new idea for how you can take a simple inspiration and make it chic and fun.

Hope you enjoy!

Day 1: Dumbo

Dumbo is such a cutie! So naturally who wouldn't want a dumbo inspired outfit?
This outfit is more on the edgy side. I picked a simple grey jersey dress with a little bit of mesh detailing. Paired along with it I used red or maroon accessories. The red comes from the visions of the circus tents that are in the movie.

To finish things off wear any pair of little booties or ankle boots. These remind me of something a circus master would wear.

To re-create this look simply pick out a grey dress and accessorize!
