OOTD: Pink Kicks

OOTD: Pink Kicks

This outfit I centered around my new pink heels. I picked these heels up at Nordstrom Rack for an amazing $10! It was a great deal and I had been eyeing them for quite some time now. They have a metallic pink ankle strap and a patterned heel. For as unique as they are I think I will be able to spice up a lot of dresses and outfits with these shoes.

Wearing a fun pair of shoes can change your outlook on life. Well, maybe not. But they can for sure brighten up your day! So, if you find a cute pair of colorful heels or shoes don't be afraid to buy them. Look for some on sale so they aren't to big of an investment. Every girl needs a fun pair of heels in their closet. It will help you mix up your outfits and step outside of the black or nude pumps every once and awhile.

{Also, this look was inspired by Blair Waldorf, of course. My new obsession is watching Gossip Girl on Netflix and I just slowly find myself turning into Blair. Which I am a 100% okay with.}

With the dress I wore my Topshop cut out dress. However it is winter now so I put on a black blazer and tights to make it more season appropriate. My accessories included a chunky square statement necklace and a few bangles and my BCBG fierce bracelet.

7 Days of accessories: Alex and Ani

7 Days of accessories: Alex and Ani
Welcome to this weeks series! 7 days of accessories!
Jewelry and accessories make amazing Christmas gifts. So, I'm going to feature some of my favorite brands or stores to get accessories!

Today is Alex and Ani. I am obsessed with bangles in general but especially Alex and Ani bangles. You can get them from Nordstrom to TJ Max or from their online site. They are a great simple piece that are super stackable. I often wear these bracelets with a lot of different bracelets along with them. But, also they stand great alone for a more simple look.

Not to mention they have many different symbol bracelets so there is one for everyone on your gift list this holiday season.

Alex and Ani bracelets

Initials are always a good thing. Of course is M is my favorite.

These two gold bracelets are super cool and classic. I could picture these working well with a lot of different bracelets in a stack.

These beads are a super pretty blush color. But the bracelet is still neutral enough to wear on a everyday basis.

For your best friend these are perfect! You can give them a gift while getting a little something for yourself.

Their bracelets feature so many pretty colored beads. Here are just a few! So pick your friends, moms, or whoever is on your lists favorite color for the perfect gift.

How I style them:

I wear one of my Alex and Ani bracelets practically everyday! They are a great investment piece and you will find yourself wearing it more then you think.
Because they are so light weight they aren't to clunky or annoying on your wrist.

Be sure to enter their promotion going on right now! If you make a Pinterest wish list they will give one winner the 10 items on their wish list.

OOTD: Purrrfect Look

OOTD: Purrrfect Look

Don't some days you just want to feel sassy and fearless and fabulous? I know its not just me! Well wearing a bold print can do just that. So here is my Purrrrfect OOTD using cheetah print.

I paired a tight body con cheetah dress with a cropped denim vest. The dress has a girly but edgy side to it. Around my neck I wore a gold chain necklace which added a touch of edge to the ensemble. A pair of camel booties complete the look of course. Also, black tights are a must for cold Iowa days like today. My arm candy included my favorite stack of the moment of course! Another tiny detail is my pair of brown pearl studs.

Whats trending? #armparty #armcandy

What's trending? #armparty #armcandy

(I have done a post about Arm Candy before in the summer. However, I still find it to be in style! Which I am extremely excited about seeing how I ALWAYS have an arm party going on. )

A huge trend for a while has been stacking up your bracelets.
Personally, it is an odd occurrence for me to leave the house without bracelets on. Bracelets are a great way to show off your personality. So, show off your style by your stack!

If you are a boho girl pick bracelets that have a lot of leather details. Wrap bracelets are your friend. They are great to layer and they create a lot of different textures.
Lets say you are more of a glamour girl. Pair a big junky watch with delicate rhinestone bracelets and bangles. Pick your favorite metal whether it be rose gold, gold, or silver. Or you could even mix your metals to create an extra metallic look.
But, what if you are more on the edgy side? Well layer bracelets featuring details like studs and spikes. The metals you should stick too are gun metal, silver, and gold.
For the ultimate girly girl practically anything Kate Spade is perfect. But layer on the bows, sparkles, and fun idiom bangles to create a super girly look.

Arm Candy

For all the preppy girls here is your ideal stack. Basically, add your favorite bangles and bracelets along with a chunky watch and something monogram (obvi).

Watch Out

Watch Out:

Watches are becoming a huge accessory recently. Everyone is obsessed with having the "it" watch. In my experiences most people have been dying to get a high end watch like a Michael Kors or a Marc Jacobs watch.

Personally, I am also obsessed with this idea because a watch is not only fashionable but practical. Also, watches are great layering pieces for arm candy.

As we all know I am absolutely obsessed with stacking and layering bracelets. Adding a watch to your typical arm candy is a great way to add a more chunky statement piece.

Not to mention I feel like watches are so fabulous and luxurious so who wouldn't want one hanging out on their wrist?

Stacking matching bangles with a chunky watch is a great way to style your watch. It creates not only layers but also texture because of the variety of different bracelets.

The watch is the watch I will be getting for Christmas! {Shhh don't tell anyone I know}

Being glamours while wearing a watch is a classic combo. So grab a glass of champagne and a gorgeous watch and call it a day.

These two are my favorite watches I own! They are both from ASOS.

OOTD: Class Free Style

OOTD: Class Free Style

You know those fabulous days when all your classes are cancelled? Well, that amazing moment happened this week and it was a great feeling.

Just because I didn't have class does not mean that I didn't dress up of course.

I paired a simple black crop top with printed high waisted shorts. These shorts are one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. They are not only chic but they have an adorable houndstooth print and a metallic sheen.

On my neck I wore of course a statement necklace. The hardware on this necklace is black which is a unique touch.
My wrist featured some of my favorites of the moment as well.

OOTD: Pi Phi Loving

OOTD: Pi Phi Loving
As some of you may know last month I joined Pi Beta Phi. Our symbols are the arrow and angels. I happen to stumble upon some Pi Phi inspired accessories. So, that is where this look is inspired from my lovely Pi Phi sisters.

The Outfit: I paired my lovely Pi Phi inspired accessories with this sea foam green maxi skirt. Iowa weather is bipolar so it is still feeling like summer here. Pairing the skirt with a high low crop top and a denim vest I made a super casual look. I jazzed things up with some silver arm candy and my angel wing necklace. Styling my hair made the look more casual and laid back. A topknot is my go to "I'm to lazy to actually do something with my hair" look. Because lets be honest we all have those days especially college students!
