As we all know I am obsessed with anchors. Anchors on shirts, skirts, sweaters, jewelry, anything anchor I want it basically. So, for this nautical look I paired a chambray anchor shirt with this bright green linen skirt. These J Crew skirts are probably my favorite skirts to date. They fit perfect, have pockets, and are super comfortable. I find myself wearing them a lot. 

For accessories I layered two fun statement necklaces for a fabulous layered look. Then I wore some bracelets, a neutral watch, and some boat shoes. This look is super fun and nautical which I love. I wore this to work but this would be a great outfit to wear for any day. 

When your crafts and outfit are on point nothing can be better! I recently I have been crafting for my room and for my future little (whoever she may be!). So, I have been doing a lot of canvases.

Pin Up Inspired 

For this look I took a vintage spin on the nautical trend. By adding the headband it kind of gave it a vintage pin-up girl vibe. Which I kind of love! To create this look I paired my favorite anchor shorts with a simple denim shirt. I have worn this denim shirt a bunch this summer and I am in love! You can pair it with practically anything which makes it super versatile. Also, I added a splash of red with both my lipstick and my earrings. I love these earrings because they have a small anchor detail which ties in the whole look. For shoes I kept things simple with my angelfish Sperry Top-Siders. They add an extra touch of nautical to the look. 

These earrings are super adorable! I have a severe anchor addiction I have to admit. 

I love wearing a bold red lip! Its great to add a pop of color to a neutral look.

Nautical inspired pieces is a MAJOR trend this spring/ summer and I am happy about it. I love everything about this nautical trend! The amount of anchor things I have in my wardrobe is a little insane. From shorts to sweaters their is everything and anything nautical inspired! My specific favorites from the nautical picks I pictured below are the Alex and Ani anchor bangle, the J Crew sail boat scallop shorts, and the Sperry Top-Sider anchor angelfish shoe.

Stripes and Pearls

A patriotic look for Memorial day? Of course! Last week was memorial day and this was the all American get up that I came up with. I am wearing one of my favorite striped shirts from J Crew (yes I have so many that this is considered my favorite...). I paired it with a fun pair of linen nautical inspired shorts. A tiny secret, they are from the kids section of J Crew! For accessories I wore one of my favorite statement necklaces, also from J Crew. Gold bow earrings, Alex and Ani bangles, and a neutral Henri Bendel bracelet complete the look. But, how could I forget about my new Sperry Topsider boat shoes I got from the Nordstrom sale! They have small anchor details on them and they are adorable. I can't wait to style them with more nautical outfits. Also, I carried my anchor bag from J Crew which I featured in a post a little while back.

Today my outfit was pretty simple. But I got to wear my new coat I recently picked up shopping over break. It is a super fun bold red nautical inspired coat from J Crew. I just picked it up from the outlet for a steal! My outfit includes my favorite J Crew tee along with a simple pair of jeans and tall brown boots. I wore bold red lips and a pair of pearl studs to complete the look.

This outfit is super fun and bright! I have addiction to striped tees recently. They are super fun and nautical and of course preppy. This one in particular is a bright neon shirt with a bold royal blue stripe on the top. I paired the bright top with a simple basic black skirt. A black skirt is a must have in my book because it will go with literally anything and everything! For shoes I wore my Hunter boots to prevent the snow that is still on the ground here in Ames. My accessories include bold blue earrings and a stack of gold bracelets and my favorite watch.
