Summer Style: Cool Backpacks

Not just for school!
There have been super cute backpacks EVERYWHERE it seems! Designers are stepping up their backpack game I guess. But these super stylish bags are great for other things besides school. Some are dual purpose, changeable, and just straight up cute. These stylish backpacks are great for walking around on a summer day, going to the beach, or holding your essentials to you summer job or internship. Here are some of my personal favorites I have seen!

{There is a backpack for every style! From girly, preppy, to edgy a sac is available for every girl this summer.}

OOTD: Edgier then usual....

A not so preppy look
For this look I decided to mix it up from my usual preppy get up to something with a little more edge. I paired a distressed denim shirt with a black burnout skirt. The skirt has a fun ruffle on the bottom which keeps the look still girly enough. For accessories I wore a fun statement necklace (as usual), a jelly chain bracelet, and a pair of fun strappy sandals. I kept my lipstick a dark red color to go along with the overall darker look. Might I add I was having a great hair day! Using a curling wand I made light wavy curls in my hair.

Where it's from:
Shirt: American Eagle
Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Necklace: C Wonder
Black bracelet: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Watch and bangles: Alex and Ani & Michael Kors
Shoes: Target

These shoes were such a steal! Got them on clearance at Target for around $7! Target is the place to get super cheap and cute sandals.

Nordstrom Semi-Annual Sale!

NORDSTROM SALE OMG!
It's that time of the year! Nordstrom is having a great sale right now and I can't wait to shop the sale. I plan on going tomorrow so I will most likely have a blog haul up from the sale soon! I'm also going going to the outlet mall today and I know J Crew has 50%! It seems a lot of stores are having sales right now and it is not good for the wallet. But, I won't complain about great prices for great clothes!

So, what am I looking for at the Nordstrom sale? Well I'm not sure whatever is cute! But, here are some of my top picks that I found while "pre-shopping" on their website!

My Picks:

I am DYING for a pair of Jack Rogers. I love these navy and red jelly pair. They would be great for all of my nautical and striped pieces that I already own. Recently I have had an obsession with cork... not sure why but it is everywhere this season! So, these cork Jack Rogers would be a perfect addition to my shoe collection.

I already have a pair of Hunter boots and I am in love with them! It would be great to have another pair so I can switch it up every once in a while. If you already have a pair they have some welly socks on sale that you should take advantage of! Normally they don't go on sale so this is an opportunity you have to snatch up.

As you all may know I am obsessed with Kate Spade! So naturally I had to put some Kate Spade pieces in my favorites. I am loving this super cute Italian theme phone case along with these striped Keds. Keds are one of my go-to shoes in the summer because you can walk anywhere in them! Also, they are the most adorable sneaker in town.

Two more Kate Spade items include these yellow earrings and this fun bow necklace. Both would be great summer and all year round accessories!

The last thing on my list is this super cool Marc Jacobs watch! It's silver and has rose gold coral writing on the face. The cool thing about this watch is that the face is see through so it is super unique!

Those are all of my favorites from the Nordstrom sale! Be on the lookout for a blog haul very soon!
XOXO

Studying < Online Shopping

Instead of studying for finals I decided to browse the Nordstrom sale section. To my surprise I found a lot of really good deals that you should check out. So if you are procrastinating studying or if you need some last minute gifts this is the post for you!

I am obsessed with these super fun gloves. They are BCBG and are the perfect color and are modeled after my favorite bracelets from them.

Nordstrom had so many watches on sale! I am obsessed with this Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic watch. They have a matching purse and I was so happy when I saw they had a watch version in the same metallic finish. It has hints of both grey, turquoise, and purple.
Then these super fun animal watches from Marc Jacobs are a fun a quirky gift for anyone on your list (including yourself!). I am obsessed with the black dog because I used to have a phone case in the same shape.

There were so many pink items on sale! This adorable hot pink Kate Spade watch is such a fun piece. It would be a great pop of color to add to your wrist and add some spice to your outfit.
I have a Mini Hamilton Tote by Michael Kors and when I saw this bag on sale I freaked! Its super cute and I use it a lot in college.

These super cute bow earrings are a great accessory for a girly girl. I love simple earrings like this because they can go with a lot of different looks.

This owl phone case and this fun holiday phone case are super adorable! I love the sparkles of the pink one and the owl design on the other. These would be great reward gifts to yourself after a hard week of finals.

So go check out the Nordstrom sale section because they have some great deals going on! They are perfect for gifts or for yourself :)

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Do you need some ideas for a great thanksgiving outfit? Well here are some great options for the holiday!

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Dig up a pair of your high waisted shorts and pair them with a crisp white button down. To accessorize the look wear a pair of black booties, knee socks, and a statement necklace. This look is a little sassy and edgy but is perfect for the holiday.

The next look is cozy glam at it's prime! Pair a simple sweater with a fun sequin skirt. Wear a tall pair of boots with a simple long chain necklace to complete a classic holiday look. Colors like gold, brown, and camel are great colors for Thanksgiving.

A plaid dress is a great way to show your thanks. Dress up a simple plaid frock with pearls and a pair of flats. It is simple, chic, and classic.

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

These next three looks are a little more formal for Thanksgiving.

Dress up a patterned shirt dress with a pair of booties and a chunky necklace. Chains are always a fun way to edge up a look. Carry a maroon leather bag to complete your holiday look.

Pleather and plaid make a great combo! Pull out your old pleather circle skirt and pair it with a plaid button down. Add a monogram bracelet and a pair of shiny gold flats to add some feminine touches.

If you want to get super fancy the last look is for you. Wear a velvet skirt with a jeweled crop top. Add a strand of pearls and Mary Jane heels for a Gatsby vibe. Because lets be honest, who doesn't want to be Daisy?

College Diaries: Laptop Accessories

College Diaries: Laptop Accessories
So, I have basically every type of accessory from bracelets, belts, necklaces, and everything in between. Of course I had to deck out my laptop just as well as I deck out myself!

I order this purple laptop cover off of amazon for about $15. It not only protects your laptop but it also makes it your favorite color (mine being purple of course). Also, it came with a super cute key board cover so now my keys are also purple.

Off of Etsy I ordered two stickers. First is a 1D sticker to represent my favorite band and to be the major fan-girl that I am. Gotta represent.
Also, I got a monogram sticker in purple. Surprisingly the purple of the sticker perfectly matches all the other purple accessories that I got. I love the way everything turned out and how it looks. My laptop is defiantly college ready and as I would like to say Miranda-fied

I also picked up a Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop sleeve at Nordstrom Rack. It was only around $35 which is basically 50% off the original retail value. The color is neutral so I know I won't get sick of it. I have been wanting one of these laptop sleeves for so long so I am glad I finally got one!

I move into college in less then 2 days! Time is flying by but I am excited to start a new journey.

My Must Have Summer Accessories: Army Candy

Arm Candy:
To be honest, I have no idea where the name arm candy came about. But, I do know that stacking bracelets and bangles is a amazing invention. In the summer time I always find myself reaching for my leather engraved bracelets, bangles, and sparkly little gems. However, this summer I took it to a whole new level. I'm pretty sure their isn't a day that I don't have some type of bracelet on my wrist! Here are a few of my favorite brands/ bracelets.

BCBG: So we all have seen these before, but they are just a leather band with different metal words. I have 3 of these super cute bracelets. I have a TRUE one which has rose gold letters and a neutral leather band. Then I have a FIERCE one which has gold letters with a black sparkly band. Then I have a rubber pink band with gold letters that say SWAG. These are just fun bracelets that can add some sass to your wrist. They are super comfortable and even fit my baby wrist so it is a good option for everyone.
Where to get them: Macy's, Nordstrom, and other department stores. I will say Macy's DEFIANTLY has the biggest selection though!

Marc by Marc Jacobs: Next, I have a few of these rubber Marc Jacob bracelets. They were on sale at a fabulous Nordstrom sale and I had to pick up a few. I had one previously and I really liked it so I invested in some more. These are honestly just a fun bracelet. I feel like a kid again with the rubber and the bright color options. I opted for more neutral colors that  I know I can wear. But, their are definitely more bright and bold options.
Where to get them: Nordstrom

Bangles: My two bangle obsessions at the moment are my Kate Spade bangle I received as a gift and my Alex and Ani bangle I got a Disney World. My Alex and Ani bangle I never take off. It actually fits my wrist and it is a souvenir from my trip. Supposedly it gives you energy or something like that. I cannot vouch for that but I do know that it's really cute. Then my Kate Spade bangle is bright and fun (like everything that is Kate Spade). It has white, hot pink, a lime green, and a coral color all the way around the band. The colors are separated with gold pyramid studs. Which is perfect seeing how I have gold pyramid stud earrings to perfectly match.

Henri Bendel: Although I only have one Henri Bendel piece, it does not mean I don't dream of more! I recently went into the city (Chicago) and wondered into the glorious Henri Bendel store. Mesmerized by the sparkle of the room and with new found birthday money in my pocket I had to get myself one. So I had to look past the beautiful colors to find a neutral piece that I could wear with anything. I found this amazing brown braided bracelet with gold and brown stones that wrap all away around. It is a beautiful piece and I haven't taken it off since I got it. You can definitely tell it is very well made so I know this piece is going to last me a long time.

Here are some of my past arm candy looks from my instagram and outfits. The London, Paris, New York, and rose gold link bracelet are from H&M. The spike and black pyramid stud bracelets are from Forever 21. Then rope like bracelet is from the Sperry store. It is made of real boat rope and has a junky silver clasp. Then the freedom bracelet is from Dry Goods.

In addition here are some of my favorite layering pieces. They are very dainty so they go along great with my more showy pieces.

From left to right: Betsey Johnson bought at Macy's, Aerie, Aerie, ASOS, Charming Charlie's.
These are my FAVORITE rose gold pieces. I am a huge rose gold junky so I wear these all the time.
From left to right: Local boutique, local boutique, ASOS, ASOS, H&M.
